Chiropractic
The Chiropractic examination identifies the restricted or abnormally moving joints (especially in the spine, but many chiropractors also treat the extremity joints.) The chiropractor performs corrective manipulation of the joint, which is called the "adjustment", to restore normal or improved motion to the troubled joint. Adjustments help relieve pain as well as restore and maintain normal movement, biomechanics and function. Improving joint function is the key to long term pain relief. Failure to restore function means any pain relief is temporary and increases the risk of chronic pain.
